The US Embassy has announced that its Youth Council has launched an anti-corruption campaign in Albania where the first guest was the head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi.
He spoke about the changes in the Electoral Code, the mechanisms for monitoring political parties in elections, the verification of candidates and the involvement of young people in the administration of the electoral process.
According to the embassy, Celibashi encouraged young people to vote and be committed and active citizens.
“The U.S. Embassy Youth Council Albania started their anti-corruption campaign with their Youth Talk series today featuring State Election Commissioner Mr. Ilirjan Celibashi as a guest speaker. Mr. Celibashi talked about the amendments to the Electoral Code and the mechanisms the Central Election Commission (CEC) uses to monitor political parties during elections. Youth Council members asked questions about the process of verifying candidates and areas of engagement for young people in the administration of the electoral process. Mr. Celibashi encouraged the youth to vote and to be actively engaged citizens!” underlines the announcement of the US Embassy.
