The deployment of US military vehicles in the Port of Durres continues, on the eve of the NATO exercise.
The Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi has published a video from the port of Durrës where the large influx of military vehicles is seen, a concentration that American officials said has not been seen in our country since the Second World War.
Peleshi writes that everything is now ready to launch the "biggest joint exercise"
"From the port of Durres where the landing of American troops and vehicles continues at a rapid pace. Everything ready to launch the largest joint exercise, held in Albania, by the US Army and our armed forces within NATO, Defender Europe 21" , writes Peleshi.
Defender-Europe maneuvers this year involved about 28,000 US, allied and partner forces from 27 countries to conduct simultaneous operations in more than 30 training areas in more than 12 countries, from the Baltic and Africa to the Black Sea and the Balkans.
In addition to providing six naval, land and air bases, Albania, a NATO member since 2009, will engage 1,000 troops in the exercise.
