Vjosa Osmani officially took office today as President of Kosovo without the usual state ceremony, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, a number of activities were organized to mark the acceptance of the office of President of the Republic of Kosovo. Vjosa Osmani has officially accepted the office of President of Kosovo, in a ceremony in the square "Ibrahim Rugova" in Pristina.
This task was handed over to her by the Speaker of the Parliament, Glauk Konjufca, who for a few days was also the acting president. Previously, the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani paraded near the KSF guard together with the Speaker of Parliament Glauk Konjfuca.
The ceremony was attended by ambassadors of several countries, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and members of the government cabinet.
President Osmani paid homage to the graves of Ibrahim Rugova and Adem Jashari.
