Kukës International Airport, currently the largest construction site in the city, is taking shape day by day where work has continued intensively and without stopping. Prime Minister Edi Rama has published images from the works at this construction site. "GOOD MORNING, and with the work that continues for the completion of the New International Airport in Kukës, I wish you a good day", writes Pm Rama.
The first passengers will land at Kukes airport, in the northeast of the country, in the spring of this year. Kukes Airport will enable low cost flights, while bringing a new wind of development for the whole area. It is also seen as a generator of thousands of new jobs that will be created year after year as a result of the development of business and the local economy. Its category is 3C, for the accommodation of turboprop aircraft and regional turbine aircrafts. The projected capacity is about 1 million passengers per year.
