A few minutes ago I was broken the terrible news that Ylli Mihali, this good and quiet man passed away after a long and hard battle with Covid-19. This is a difficult moment for all Albanian football, who knew and loved Ylli so much, reflecting his name in every step and moment of his life. A physiotherapist and an extraordinary man who served for 27 years near our National team, near his club Tirana, near athletes in difficulty, being near them in every situation.
We will miss his humor, his love for people, the compassion of Ylli. In this difficult moment for his family, his many friends, we pray that his soul rests in peace. Goodbye Ylli, we will always remember you with love!", writes Duka.
In addition to many messages of condolence from players, colleagues and journalists, President Ilir Meta also reacted on facebook.
"Sadness for the premature death of physiotherapist Ylli Mihali, this tireless contributor for almost three decades, for the success of our National Team. "My condolences to the bereaved family, friends and red and blacks, whom he served with love and devotion!", the President wrote on Facebook.
Prime Minister Edi Rama has also delivered a message of condolence for the premature death of the doctor Ylli Mihali.
"YLLI MIHALI, the physiotherapist of the red and blacks, the key man who for years took care of the physique of the boys of the National Team, did not succeed in his most important battle, that of life against the Invisible Enemy.
I join in the pain of Ylli's friends and the entire sports community, on this gloomy day for his family, and for the red and blacks who were the second family of this good and professional man, who for 30 years served with dedication, leaving after an indelible memory for all those who knew him ", writes Rama.
The former coach of the Albanian National Team, Gianni De Biasi, also joined the numerous messages of condolence, after working with Ylli Mihali for six years.
"I am really sad for the loss of my friend Ylli. The person I highly valued, humanly and professionally. His handsome physique hid a good and generous spirit, an authentic person who loved his work and our National team.
Unfortunately I will have one less friend in Albania, but I will keep your presence dear Ylli in my heart. Thank you for everything. REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND! ”
